This group is out of Ada, OH. They were very professional and sounded great! They added a little special touch to my ceremony. They showed up on time and did not need any instruction and played right at all the correct times durring the mass without needing direction. I was really pleasantly suprised with how good they are. They are very reasonably priced compared to other quartets. I highly recomend them.

Gotta love them! They made my cake vision a reality – an extremely tasty reality : ) They did exactly what I wanted and I loved it! And the taste of their cake speaks for itself – layers of cake and cream – it was so light and airy, but flavorful in an understated way. I couldn’t have been happier – it was a hit!

The cake was delicious! We got a lot of comments on the flavors, we had Key Lime and Chocolate Dipped Strawberry. They were also great to work with during the planning process and the tasting was so fun with them! I really liked our design, it was different than anything else I had seen around. I also like that they make the cake out front big enough but they keep the majority of it in the back as sheet cakes (they are cheaper), and the guests can't tell because they are decorated the same way.

I have heard their cake is really good, but you pay more than most local bakeries for it. We didn't even go try it though because they only had certain times to go, wouldn't tell us a price range over the phone, etc. which just irritated me since I didn't have time to jump through their hoops. A friend is using them, and she said that she is willing to pay more since she liked the cake so much.

I had the same problem with Eston's. I was coming in from way OOT and told them I didn't have time to do a meeting, and could I just pick up samples. They said I had to come in, so I just found another bakery.

Eston's cake is very good--I like the multiple layers. If you don't mind doing the meeting and paying a few hundred bucks more than everywhere else, go for it.

We used Eston's and I could talk about how great they are until I'm blue in the face :) All interactions I had with staff were great and the tasting was so fun! Their cake is THE BEST and doesn't taste like your typical "wedding cake". We got SO many compliments on it. AND they give you a certificate for a free round cake on your anniversary so you don't have to freeze the top layer :)

We met with Tony yesterday and got to sample everything. I like the round cake with spirals and they don't charge extra for the little things. With what I want I am getting my cake for around $2.10 per person. I really thought the Tiramsiu and Raspberry Forest were to dye for. They won't give you prices over the phone because it does really matter with what you are looking for in the cake design.

The cake was fantastic! We had strawberries and cream and white chocolate mousse. I had an idea in mind that they didn't do and were able to accommodate me. I had someone else make fondant flowers and had Estons's put them on the cake. The flowers weren't what I wanted, but the cake still tasted good. That's all that matters anyway.

They were prompt, our driver was great (very friendly and called me a couple of times in the back to make sure everything was ok). We booked the Excursion I believe and it was plenty big enough for the 12 of us that rode in it. We went a little over in our time, I didn't really know this, so he was rushed in getting us to the hall because he had another pick-up to go to, but he was still good.

Rent the Land Yacht. They have a dance floor, kareoke, leather seats, champagne, etc. We had 20 people on it and had plenty of room. My bridal party thought this was the best part of my wedding. Everyone was standing up dancing the whole time.

While I never actually saw this shuttle, the guests raved about it. We just had them run people from the Wyndham hotel to the art museum for the wedding. As far as I know, they were on time and nice. They were always nice to me on the phone and I thought the price was good.

Hi everyone! I really have not been able to write that much on this site but I really wanted to give any future brides a "heads up". I am going to try to make this short and sweet.....

My wedding was last month and everything went perfectly except for the morning. My bridal party's hair appointments were at Reve Salon in Sylvania. Months prior to my wedding I had gone back and forth with Reve trying to set up everyone's appointments. They could not get anything straight and kept screwing up the appointment times and who they were with.

Like I said I am going to try to keep this short so I am not going to go into detail on ALL of the numerous problems. Let's just say, they even screwed up my appointment a month before the wedding!

The day before my wedding I was getting so frustrated with them that I ended up calling the manager because they were not scheduling my girls at the correct time. I spent over twenty minutes on the phone with the manager confirming everyone's appt. He had everyone down correctly, finally, and he had assured me everything would go smoothly.

Well, it didn't! They had my matron of honor's time an hour too late, my mom only scheduled for a wash, and one of the bridesmaids not scheduled at all!!! I just dont understand how it could have been that messed up when I just went over everything with the manager the day before!!!!

Now, I am really not one to write a "mean" comment about anyone but this situation was just ridiculous! If anyone is thinking about Reve for their bridal party I would not recommend it. If you already have it scheduled for your bridal party, just make sure to keep calling to confirm the girls appts. I just don't want anyone to have to go through that kind of stress on your wedding day!

fyi- i've gone to reve for 4 years. i've never once had a problem until i got my hair done 2 weeks ago. i made an appointment for myself and my mom.. i was supposed to be at 7 and she at 7:30. somehow they managed to double book me at 7:30 with someone else and not book my mom at all. we sat until 8 before she even got started on my hair. my stylist was supposed to go home at 8 and didn't get out until 9 because they screwed her scheduling up! needless to say she was pissed. apparently they have hired quite a few new desk girls and from what she said all of them have their heads up their a**es. so long story short, my stylist felt terrible and gave us each $10 off our cut since we sat for an hour before she even got to us. they honestly don't normally have these problems, reve is a great place! hopefully they do something about those new girls quick.

I could not have had a better place to have my reception. It is beautiful in every way and the individuals at CPW are service-oriented and wonderful to work with. The food was amazing and everyone left saying the food was the best (we had beef tenderloin and chicken cord on blue) and it was very classy. The price is very worth it.

Everyone knows Pam is great. the only reason she doesn't get a + is because my dress was a halter with lace around the edges of the neck and back that was ITCHY!!!!!! She said it wouldn't be a problem to do something about and tried but it didn't work. She wouldn't/didn't put ribbon around and under the lace so once I picked it up my mom and I had to spend a day sewing and cutting ribbon under the lace so I wouldn't itch. Other than that, she did a fantastic job with my, my mom, sisters and grandmas dresses.

first of all the woman is a complete angel and very talented. at my first fitting, she figured out where to take the dress in. she was messing with the straps and twisted them a bit. wouldn't you know it, twisted the straps fixed the hug gap i had at the top of the dress. not only did it add a touch of "greek" to the dress, it made for less sewing on her part. the only probelm was that spot i had mentioned earlier. twisting the straps brought it into full view. with her magic wand or some sort of pixie dust, pam was able to get that stain out without a problem. in the end, i ended up with an eleven point bustle, a new hemline, the waist taken in, the straps fixed, the stain removed, press she steamed & pressed the dress for around $200. pam also worked her magic on my sisters' bridesmaids dresses. one only need the hem fixed ($25) and other had to have the waist taken in and her hem adjusted as well ($45). you cannot beat that price & her demeanor is so sweet.

I was just married this past saturday and the reception was in the lodge at the Toledo Zoo. I can give you any info you want about the lodge but i have never been to an event at the Narobi Pavilion. The entire staff at the Zoo were amazing. The Food was fantastic. i have very few pics in my bio but will update when i get the photogs pictures. The zoo will do just about anything you ask. They took care of every little detail.

My wedding is at the zoo next October and because of the size of our guest list (potentially) we are having it in the Nairobi Events Pavilion...that is located over by the giraffes in the Africa exhibit. That can seat well over 500. They can also block the room into two, or possibly three so that it isn't large and too roomy for your guests. You might want to look into the Nairobi.....also they are having a Bridal Show there on September 10th...it will be held in Nairobi so that you can see the size of the room as well. Hope this helps!

The Toledo Zoo (The Lodge) A++
The Toledo Zoo was terrific. When i put down my deposit with them i really did not realize how much work they do for you. They made the whole event so enjoyable. They are very detailed oriented and make sure everything is taken care on the big day so you don't have to. They decorated the room for me and contacted all my vendors to schedule drop offs and set up. They provide a wedding day coordinator who is at the event from start to finish to make sure everything goes smoothly. The room and grounds were gorgeous. All my guests commented on how beautiful the zoo was and what a great location. I expected for the food to be good but it turned out great!! I was pleasantly surpised by the catering. I always think wedding food is boring so that is what i expected but instead it was fantastic. Can't say enough about the Zoo, i need to stop now or i might go on forever!!

I’m going to give the Toledo Zoo 2 separate grades.

The first grade I give them is an A for the day of and the wedding coordinator, Jamie. The day of our wedding went smoothly and everything was perfect even though we had to have our ceremony inside. They decorated just they I wanted them to and as far as I know there were no problems. Jamie was the greatest she was there to do everything. I was so very greatful for that. And they did all of the set up and tear down and cleaning. We didn’t want any of our family to have to work on our day.

The second grade I give the zoo is for the salesperson, Maria King, Which I give a C-. She started there about 3 months after we had put down the deposit with another salesperson, who had left the zoo. I felt she just didn’t have very good customer service skills and needs to be trained a little more for what she is doing. On 2 occasions I had to go over her head to her boss which I didn’t like doing but it was the only way I got my issues resolved. One of the issues had to deal with the contract and Maria couldn’t tell me where in the contract something was stated, and hadn’t taken the time to find where it was stated and to show me.

I was very unhappy with the service. I do not have enough space to put my full complaint here and will try to keep it short. I ordered a dress and at there suggestion paid extra to have the dress made to length. After purchasing the dress i went to the manufacturers web site and found out they charged me more than the suggested retail price plus the extra $ for the made to length. The dress showed up and was at least 7 inches to long and 2 sizes to big. They did not want to return the dress and wanted to charge me to alter it. The finaly sent it back. I had to call every day for a week to get a answer from someone as to if and when the dress would show up. It finally showed up with less than a month before the wedding and was still not right. With no time left i took the dress and had someone else tailor it.

So......last Mon. I went to Gallipos and found BM dresses that my MOH and myself loved (picture in the bio). We later brought my other BM's into the store and they all agreed on the dress so we ordered it and paid in full. Keep in mind that my colors are hot pink and orange therefore we ordered the dress in hot pink. Not a problem, until today!!!! I went on the designers web page to look at the dress again bc I'm excited and wanted to show my dad. Well....on the designers web page it says that it's not available in hot pink (only in a very light tulip pink color). So, I called Gallipos and told them that the dress isnt available in the color I ordered (you would think they would know this considering that THEY are the dress store). Anyways, I got some run around about how they didnt know???!!!! And they were going to order the dress in tulip knowing what my colors are!!! What a disaster that would have been!! So now I'm back to square one and have to get in the store first thing in the morning to pick out a comparable dress price wise since they are all paid off!!!!!!!

I know this is a long post but I really needed to vent!!! I'm sure that this is just a once in a lifetime mistake on their part but it helps to give everyone a heads up.

I had nothing but problems with them for my friend's wedding. Be sure to ask what size they ordered the BMs dresses. They ordered my dress WAY to small, and another girls was way too big. I know BM and Bridal gowns are different sizing compared to street clothes, but I could have told her the size she ordered was never going to fit.

I ended up paying over $150 to get the stuipd thing altered.

Oh and since my dress didn't fit when it came in (shocker) they tried to blame me for gaining weight! I said no way, I'm wearing the same jeans I did when I came in for my fitting. If I gained that much weight, the pants wouldn't fit!

Last fall when myself and another knottie were looking for our dresses we stopped there and there were about 3-4 people behind the counter if I remember. They saw 4 women walk in the door, but didnt say hello even. We looked around for about 5 minutes and without getting any attention whatsoever we decided they didnt want our business. Personally, if I saw four women walk through the door, I'd say hello and ask them what they are looking for.

I also went there to try on a bm dress that no one else in town had-i had no intention to buy there b/c of our previous experience with them. I went in found the dress, tried it on-all without anyone knowing I was there, there was no one in their front room at all-they were all in the back!

Pathetic if you ask me!

One of the biggest problems I see is that if you are on a budget and are not planning on spending much on the gown David's Bridal, House of Hilton, the rest of them...are fine. But if you want a high end gown there is no place other than Gallipos in Toledo as far as I can tell to get one. As far as I know they are the only ones in Toledo that deal in Vera Wang and Valentina, Watters and Watters, etc.

I had the same thing problem happen to me! :) Went in there to try on a BM dress for a friend's wedding but no sales help was to be found. My sis was with and we joked about how we could rob the place blind if we wanted too.

I found the dress myself, tried it on and I would have bought it/order it IF they're had been anyone out to help. While I was trying the dress on Sis went in the back to see if everything was OK and apparently, the girls "were on lunch" and would be out in a "minute". Ha! Yeah, right!

We left about debating about 2 minutes if I should even get the dress there.

So I went to gallippos found the dress I loved olivia was wonderful. Then I went to other bridal shops in town and the last store ,House of Hilton, Had a dress I loved. I went back to both places and it turns out it was the same dress, different colors. Gallippos it cost 1150 and house of Hilton 899 Interesting. (same designer)

I have been a bm 13 times. Of all the weddings I have been in, this April was the first to which the bride chose to order the dresses for the 3 of us bm's and herself from Gallippo's. (In past weddings, the dresses have been purchased from House of Hilton in Toledo and Bridal and Formal (?) in Cinci.) Because I live in Chicago, I had my measurements done here. The other two bm's and the bride had their dress measurements done at Gallippo's. When the bm dresses finally arrived in February, all 3 were TOO SMALL. Now, I understand when the dresses are too big...that has always happened to my size 2 self. The 3 of us bm's called and Gallippo's wanted only to have us pay to have the dresses altered. I can't think of her name..but the manager told us it was b/c we all had big rib cages. She asked us all if we worked out. She said it was b/c we did that our rib cages are just bigger. I called a store that carried the dresses here in Chicago and they gave me the manufacturer's phone #. I called the manufacturer and they said that they couldn't deal directly with the customer (me) but with Gallippo's. They said it was most likely a manufacturing default b/c the dresses were made with several horizontal stripping pieces of material...most likely the pieces were in the wrong place. The owner said she would absolutly not take the dresses back and that there was nothing wrong with the dresses...just our rib cages (to which I would have had to have removed if I wanted to fit in this dress). The manufacturer told me they couldn't do anything for me...only with Gallippo's. B/c we were on a time constraint, we all had our dresses re-made (horizontal stripes moved around).

The bride had her dress custom made and when it arrived the week before her wedding it was 4 inches too small. The owner told my friend to wear flat shoes (mind you, her fiance was 6'4" tall). The bride insisted that material be over-nighted and it finally was the week of her wedding.

The wedding day was wonderful. One of the bm's straps to her altered dress (she had hers altered by Gallippo's...I did not) broke off after the ceremony. The second strap later broke off on the dance floor.

Good luck to anyone shopping at Gallippo's.

I had a great experience at Gallippo's. They by far have the largest number of dresses of the Toledo bridal shops and they let me try on dresses for at least 2 hours--I thought they went above and beyond. iI think the owner's daughter was my sales person. My friend had a bad experience with their alterations though, so don't get your dress altered there. When you make your appointment, request the big dressing room! I think it's worth the trip.

Ok so wow. I just got back from Gallipos, and let me tell you, NEVER GO THERE. They didn't have the style of the dress I wanted to see, so we went to look at the swatches, and the whole time the manager was being completely rude. As soon as she walked out she asked if we wanted to see swatches so we could buy online. Now even tho I had said I didn't want to buy in the store, my mom said that she was perfectly willing to order them there (my sisters are 2 of my maids) so she first off lost the sale of those two dresses. Now while she was going on and on about us buying online and how all the stores are going out of business and we're trying to convince her I want to make sure I have a color that is the same that I had originally wanted b/c I brought the fabric swatch. She then proceeds to dis my mom b/c she said that the quality of the dress my mom would make wouldn't be any good. Woah, this lady is the reason the store isn't getting business, not the internet. She most definitely lost my business. When I walked in before she came out I saw a little headpiece I really liked that wasn' t a bad price, but no way was I buying it after that. My mom had also wanted to look at MOB dresses, but we didn't do that either. My 2 younger sisters were w/ me, who would obviously be getting married in the next few years whose business she could have gotten. So........my humble opinion is that she needs an attitude adjustment badly. I'm sorry this is so long, but I am just furiuos that she could treat us like that. I highly recommend no one ever steps foot into that store.

Ok, I went to a wedding there last night and promised a review to the girls who were interested in it. I'm going to list the Pros and Cons and you all can decide for yourself what you think!

Pros:
-Nice ballroom for the price
-Food wasn't outstanding, but it was good.
-Room was pretty big
-Front desk staff were FABULOUS, we had a situation and they went above & beyond
-Great rate for rooms if you want guests to stay

Cons:
-Do not have it in the atrium it is WIDE open (they put up cubicle
type walls to make it private, but it is not!)
-They book more than one event in a night
-Wait staff were on our a$$es the second we finished eating clearing the entire table so they could get out of there faster, I said something twice because we still wanted our water glasses & coffee cups. It was annoying.
-The room & set up is pretty non-descript, so you need to go the extra mile
to make it your own (which the couple did not)
-Small dance floor - didn't matter much because not many people were
dancing, but if you had a good DJ you would have a problem
-DH decribed it as "fake nice"... it is a decent ballroom, but you still have kids running around with bathing suits on and all kinds of people hanging out all over the place staring at your guests, etc...

All in all, there wasn't one thing that was really outstanding that would make me have an event there. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable either... it does have potential though and the price is inexpensive.

We had a lot of out of town guest and they loved it here. there is a lot for guest to do when they have down time. the only thing is they don't reserve rooms unless your wedding is there.

Had NO clue what the hell kind of bustle I was talking about, and, rather than her doing a little research, wanted me (who has little to no sewing knowledge) to figure out how it's supposed to be done. They did all of our flowers and centerpieces for the wedding. The photographer didn't get pictures of all 3 varieties of centerpieces, but they all looked great and I liked the variety. My bouquet turned out great and so did the BMs. I really liked the mother's small bouquets, the bouts for all the GMs, and the corsages & bouts for our godparents. We had a really hot day and DH, FOB, & FOG all had mini callas for their bouts, and by the time we all got to the reception they needed some water. They were great to work with and very helpful in the planning process with new ideas and advice for what works and what won't.

we haven't received our pictures yet but as far as interaction with the company and our photographer, PiNK was great to work with. April, the coordinator, always got back to me within a day whenever i had a question or concern. even though we didn't get to meet our photographer, brenna, until the day of, we hit it off right away and she was so helpful during the whole "where are the flowers" debacle. April will send you a pamphlet to fill out about a month before the wedding. I will tell you that this worksheet not only helped with all the photos we wanted taken but made the last month before the wedding go much smoother than I thought it would. You see, this worksheet covers pretty much everything - from the venue locations & vendors' contact info to a timeline of the reception to your must take phot list - it's like a wedding coordinator but in paper form.

They were everywhere, came to the salon while me and my brides maids were getting our hair done, followed us to the church while we got dressed, filmed us getting our photos taken around town and stayed late into the night at our reception. The Toledo Ohio Bride Review enables couples to find reviews of local wedding professionals in the Toledo area. Reviews posted by actual brides who have used these vendors. There is absolutely no advertising permitted on the site. Whenever possible, the vendors contact information for each vendor has been provided. Couples can contact vendors directly using our site.

I didn't come to appreciate the complexity of wedding planning until I had my own wedding. What a crazy mess. So many things to plan so many people and vendors to visit. The whole thing was exhausting. Even in small little Toledo Ohio I found the entire process overwhelming. This is precisely the reason why I created this site. If you're like me, you probably have no clue who to trust and who will take advantage of you. I pretty much went with friends and family suggestions. not exactly the best way to gather info. Most of these people have limited experience with weddings themselves and know of very few vendors. Basically I went with the first people recommended. I'm sure they weren't the best. In fact I know now I could have done a much better job selecting my vendors.

My plan is to comb the net and listen closely to friends and family. All along compiling references and experiences of all the available Wedding Vendors in Toledo Ohio. Eventually I hope to have an extensive collections of reviews for all things wedding.
