She was very Patient with me and they are not pushy at all!! The dress came out beautifully my husband LOVED it. It’s a Maggie Sottero Capri Royale. I lost weight so I had to have it altered 3 times which was great for meJ They did a beautiful job and their package offers are great!!!! They are in Tiffin and Findlay and worth the drive!!!

A –Love the church it was just what we needed space wise and its air conditioned which is a bonus. No one had a hard time finding it at all. And we dressed in the big hall area so plenty of space for the girls.

Reception: Glass City Boardwalk-A + -- Tons of space. Excellent ceiling décor already provided. Very accommodating. I will admit the owner is hard to feel out but hes been there for 20 plus years. Food was also through them and we heard nothing but great things about our food options. For our dinner listing I will post what we had in my bio. The open bar was very successful of course and VERY reasonable prices!! We only wish we had the hall longer, which we could have but we would have never left!!! We got to go in super early the Friday before to set up it was just great I cannot recommend them enough!

Hair & Makeup: The Future Wave Salon in Oregon. A++++--- Darah did my hair and she was incredible!!! I had so many comments about my hair and where did I get it done at!!! Limo Service: Birmingham Limo: A++++ We had such a great time. Bob was our driver and he was great and very accommodating!! He treated us like royalty. We were very happy with the Land Yacht. We all had a great time and if u have a big dress like I did I recommend it cause u can walk on I cant imagine having anything else but that with my huge dress!!! Just great service!

Dj—Tradewinds—A+++ Larry and Ron were great!!! They were so awesome with Nick and myself as well as getting the crowd going and having a good time. I cannot recommend them enough!!! They are awesome esp for the price which is very Very reasonable!!!

Photographer: Everlasting Images—A+ Sam and Nichole were excellent. Nichole and Sarah were with me all day and once I got use to the paparazzi feel it was very easy. They make u feel very calm and at home! Sam was hilarious. Nick loved him for his photog. They took excellent e pics and wedding pics. I just think they do an amazing job!!!

Outdoor Photos: Schedels in Elmore—A—Very easy to get in and out and the photos they took out doors were great there. We cant wait to see the rest of those and our photogs though it was very cool they had never been before. If it hadn’t of rained it would have been better just cause there were a few bugs flying around but it did not rain while we were shooting at least!

Transfer Service: Childers---Please email me concerning this. It was a gift to us from a good friend just to get us from one place to the hotel for the night.

Holiday Inn French Quarter--- B--- Loved our room it was amazing but that’s due to my husband. Other guest rooms I don’t feel were worth what they had to pay. They were also working on the hotel and replacing concrete and working on their pool so no swimming. Still loved our room though.

Bulk Foods.com---A—The rock candy was well worth the cost plus our candy bar was a huge hit! The barber shop sticks the color was completely wrong. I wanted purple so I ordered grape and hey were all brown. I had known of a few other people having probs but I took a risk. After the rock candy was awesome I didn’t care about the sticks anymore.

Honeymoon: Smallworldvacations.com:A -had Laura and she did a great job with last minute things that did not arrive. We went to Disney of course and we had a great time esp. since it was my first time. Getting the Just Married pins was something no one ever told us to get. We had the bride and groom ears. The pins get you into everything quicker and u get free stuff too. For other disneymooners its at the guest relations desk at every park so stop in and get them for free! All of our dinners here were amazing except the San Angel Inn in Epcot. The food wasn’t good. We just had a great time overall and other dinners paid off. Definitely recommend the dining plan is a must!!!! If u want more honeymoon info and all the rest. Info just let me know!

; Caterer (Mark Durham)--C..The food was great and we got many good responses but there were some problems outside of the actual food that were not good. If you would like more info. Contact me privately.

; Cake (Eston’s)--A++...I loved the cake it was VERY delicious and since we didn’t have everyone come that RSVPed Kyle and I got the entire top tier to eat. Exton’s will re-make your top layer for your first anniversary.

; DJ (Ultimate Nights)--C..He did what he came to do which was keep the party going but my husband is a Huge music person and took DAYS working out the play list exactly as he wanted it and they didn’t play most of the songs we had on the list.

; Church (St. Joseph’s of Sylvania)--A+..gorgeous and the ceremony looked beautiful. If you have a chance or are thinking of getting married in a church, I suggest St. Joe’s

; Florist (Bartz-Viviano)--A+..The flowers were beautiful and held up well all day. We used Gerber daisies and everyone was insistent that they would not last the night but they did and I still have my bouquet.

; Make-up (Macy’s/Clinique)--A+...Robyn at Macy’s did an excellent job on my make-up and it last all day. The mascara lasted two through showers, Jacuzzi and swimming.

; Hair (Studio of Hair Design)--A+...The lady that did my hair has been doing my hair for 8 years and she did a great job I looked wonderful, it was off my neck and I felt pretty.

; Dress (Lace and Elegance)--A...Had some minor issues but over all it was good working with Lace and Elegance. The issues I did have wee things like no loop for a hook on my dress, one of the hooks on my strap broke, one of the Bm dress was altered wrong.

; Photographer (John J. Holshoe)--B....John did a good job from what I can tell thus far (have not seen the final product). He was somewhat unsure of himself and at times stopped us to capture a moment.

Hotel (Clarion)--A...It was clean and it was a place to sleep the night before (not that I did but I could have)
Hotel Wedding night (Belemere)--A...It was very nice and relaxing. We had a pool in our room which was a lot of fun and we enjoyred. The only "problem" we had was that my husband slid intot he pool b/c it is VERY slippery ont he steps and I burned my finger ont he candles that they had int he room. (Both personal clutzy issues but you amy want to be aware)

My advice:

1. Don’t do a cocktail hour--guests leave to early and/or are drunk to early to enjoy.

2. If the DJ asks you to do something, refer him/her to someone who knows what time it is and can make a clear decision (had a slight problem with cake cutting being too early).

3. Enjoy the time it goes excessively fast.

I went to I Do Too Bridal in Plymouth, MI today with my friend from Germany to look for her wedding dress. (dresses are cheaper in america than europe). This is the same store I found my dress at. They are incredibly nice and have a beautiful store and many lovely dresses. They treated my friend like a princess! She found the perfect dress and bought the store sample. They took extra care to help make sure she won't have trouble with customs on the way home. They also give you a free dress when you buy a dress. Well none of the dresses in the free area can even close to fitting her because she's so tiny. So they pulled a beautiful $755 that was on sale for $375 and gave it to her as her free dress. Which is amazing because in Germany they have to do the ceremony twice, once in the courthouse and once in a church. Such great people! Both of us have had wonderful experiences there; it's well worth the drive!

I would highly recommend JEM Photography (Emy). I met with a few different photographers in Toledo and Emy was the one I had no doubt about. Her price is right and she is a great person. I could truely tell she loves taking pictures and that is the type of person I want to be my photographer. My wedding is not until July 2008 so we won't have engagement pictures until the fall but I cannot wait. Emy is very down to earth. Her work that I have seen is very good. I really like the photo journalism and not standard everyone look at me and smile pictures.
Good luck with your decision making - I would suggest Emy :)

I didn't come to appreciate the complexity of wedding planning until I had my own wedding. What a crazy mess. So many things to plan so many people and vendors to visit. The whole thing was exhausting. Even in small little Toledo Ohio I found the entire process overwhelming. This is precisely the reason why I created this site. If you're like me, you probably have no clue who to trust and who will take advantage of you. I pretty much went with friends and family suggestions. not exactly the best way to gather info. Most of these people have limited experience with weddings themselves and know of very few vendors. Basically I went with the first people recommended. I'm sure they weren't the best. In fact I know now I could have done a much better job selecting my vendors.

My plan is to comb the net and listen closely to friends and family. All along compiling references and experiences of all the available Wedding Vendors in Toledo Ohio. Eventually I hope to have an extensive collections of reviews for all things wedding.
